PET BED MATTRESSES

Our suggestions for practical comfort.

 Upholstery Foam. Choice of three densities of (human  grade) upholstery foam, extra firm, firm & Reflex ( softer, but with extra bounce) all supplied with a polyester fibre wadding topper.

Orthopaedic Foam. All upholstery foams have orthopaedic qualities, but these are special laminates for enhanced joint support. (Developed by us for creaky old humans, but work just as well for creaky old dogs and big old cats. ) More >>>

Memory foam. Memory foam is lovely & very popular, with its appealingly squidgy texture. However, be aware that it doesn’t bounce back like normal upholstery foam. We know it was developed by NASA - but your elderly doggy isn’t an astronaut operating under weightless conditions, and they might like something a bit firmer and springier!

  Polyester hollow fill fibre. Frequently used for human sofa seat and back cushions, it’s lovely and cuddly and comforting. We offer both new and recycled fibre, the recycled is firmer (and a bit cheaper)

“Stuffkin” That’s what we call using your own “stuff” - old duvet inners, cut up tee shirts and such. Not only free, but comforting for an anxious doggy because they smell of home and safety . More >>>

Duck feather. We don’t really approve of duck murder, but we’ll turn a blind eye for money.

STUFFKIN.

THE MOST CALMING FILLING EVER.

 AND ITS FREE !!

This is filling you provide yourself - we call it “Stuffkin”  (Stuffing from Stuff that your Kinfolk don’t need any more - harhar )

Old duvets, socks, sweatshirts, pillows etc. etc. can be cut up and poked into the sections inside the pet bed covers.

Advantages - FREE, of course, and perfectly lovely for insecure animals because it smells of home.

Disadvantages* - it doesn’t look quite as professional as the actual professional stuff, and cutting up tee shirts into strips gives you blisters.

*If cost is not your first consideration we suggest you order waterproof liners for your Stuffkin filled dog bed - not just to guard against wet paws and wee-wee accidents, but to provide a good internal structure.

Orthopaedic Upgrades.

1. Superspring K9 - A layer of super firm foam fused onto a thicker layer of medium firm foam, topped with fibre wadding. It feels rather like an old fashioned sprung seat cushion. We can’t ask the four legged contingent - but this stuff is very popular with older humans who need a bit of a lift for their sofas!
2. Comfortspring K9 - bottom layer is super firm, middle (pink) layer reflex , supportive and bouncy, top (yellow) layer super soft foam . Topped with fibre wadding. Sink in and curl up appeal, but with proper support to alleviate joint pain. The top foam layer can be replaced with memory foam if preferred.

Optional Waterproof Liners.

We can also supply waterproof inner covers to protect your fillings, for either the seat or the bolsters, or both. Ideal if your doggo gets very wet & muddy, or if there’s a leaky bladder situation —
